A beautiful pair of dangling teardrop?earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These lovely earrings are made of sterling silver and have an elongated vessel-inspired design. Although simple in appearance, the drops have stylish details with a vertically faceted surface and horizontal ridges throughout the body. At the base of each is a crisscross faceted design which completes the look perfectly. The long hollow links hang from a simple ball surmount and earring wire at the top, and have lovely swinging movement when worn. Despite their size, the earrings are very lightweight?and comfortable to wear and could easily be worn everyday. They frame the face beautifully and?would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long from top to bottom, and measures a little more than 3/8" wide and thick at the teardrop's base.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the earrings including, no visible dents, dings, or scratches to the sterling surface, and the earring wire tops are secure and in good condition.
